Once again a killer phone case / wallet from the guys at Silent Pocket.

Have a look HERE at their site https://silent-pocket.com/

As usual please see video review for better details.

I have had this watch now for about 2 weeks and it is worthy of a review already.

I have been thinking about a smartwatch for a while do I need one? No not really, Do I want one? Not sure, are they expensive? Yes, Can I get away with it with the wife? Probably not!!!

I have looked at the apple  iWatch as I am a big apple fan, iPhones, Macbook, iPods, Ipad I have them all.  I just do not like the iWatch, too big, too square and the horrid crown on it, I have looked a few times and walked out the shop.

Same with alternatives either not iPhone compatible or similar price to the iWatch.

Then I found the Martian and read the spec which interested me, I will explain why I went for this watch  near the end of the review.

So after 8 days it arrived and instantly  liked the looks, the dial is easily readable and as mine is black you cannot see the OLED screens it just looks like a watch.

The watch part is powered by an internal replaceable battery which is expected to last 2 years, the firmware powering the watches smart features is charged via a specific mini USB cable, (its a little longer than a standard one) and is supposed to last 7 days I am now on day 12 and still have 62% left!!! but I do take it off when I go home and turn it off if I go out ill prob put my Lumoinox on.

First steps are to charge the watch dead simple via the USB,  update the firmware on the site again quite simple, download the Martian app and pair with watch again quite simple.

Features.

Notifications and alerts from many apps, incoming call and text with caller id,  Facebook, email, twitter, youtube, whatsapp, calendar, Instagram, Skype, YouTube, Messenger to name a few, al accompanied with customisable vibration patterns which can be set to low and high intensity, and a flashy LED on the dial

You can activate Siri, your camera shutter, scroll through past messages/notifications, set Do Not Disturb, use the LED as a low power torch, find your phone form the watch its make your phone play a tune so you can locate it, tether is a function where your watch will display out of range if you are a short distance from your watch i.e. if you forget it or it gets robbed.

Display time, date, connectivity and weather with a press of a button.

So the price what do you think this is worth and how much would you pay for one?  Do search online and you can pick one up for £70 or there are a couple of places that can supply for less than £30 DELIVERED!!!!

If your the USA best price I ave found is $36 here Everyday carry.com Shop

I am truly amazed and this watch for the price and the functions it offers I am really glad I brought, yes I did actually buy it, it was not a gift or freebie my own cold hard earned cash got it for me.  It will also sync with certain iPads, Android phones and tablets!!

The only minor and I mean minor niggles are, it is not waterproof but for £30 I don’t care, if I am doing water based activities I would be wearing my waterproof Casio or Luminox, also the hands although easy to read during light and low light conditions are fine its not easy to read in dark conditions or environments but you can display by touching the lower left button, ideally a bit of glow in the dark paint not he hands would be ideal.

Get one you will love it OR they do a more upscale version which called the Voice line which offer more features but will cost you a fair bit more.
